Lead Infant Teacher | Discovery Kids Childcare, Orono Public Schools
Pay: $21.62 to $23.84/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. No weekends!
Location: Orono Schools Discovery Center
Love milestone moments and morning cuddles? Lead the infant classroom at Discovery Kids, a 4-Star Parent Aware, NAEYC-accredited program within Orono Public Schools. You’ll create a safe, joyful space where our youngest learners thrive and families feel truly supported.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate daily activities for infants
- Track growth using Teaching Strategies GOLD and hold family conferences twice a year
- Mentor and guide the assistant teachers and aides in your classroom
- Share daily photo updates on Seesaw and a monthly family newsletter
- Keep a clean, safe, organized classroom and maintain staff-to-child ratios
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education, including caring for infants
- Classroom leadership or mentoring experience
- A warm, respectful approach to partnering with families
